<\/strong><\/h4>\nReport – Neighbourhood Planning HIVE event:\u00a0 University of Reading <\/strong><\/h4>\n6th June 2018<\/strong><\/h5>\nOn Wednesday 6th June 2018 the University of Reading\u00a0 hosted the first\u00a0Neighbourhood Planning HIVE event for groups engaged in neighbourhood planning.<\/p>\n
The HIVE event was designed to bring together neighbourhood planners actively engaged in the process to come together to discuss and share experience and knowledge. This process of mutual support and peer learning is recognised as important and valued in neighbourhood planning and the event is being specifically designed to reflect the issues of importance to those attending.\u00a0The agenda was shaped to reflect the experiences, needs and priorities of participants as identified in\u00a0a pre-event questionnaire.<\/p>\n
The day centred around a series of ‘workshops’\u00a0with plenty of opportunity for attendees to discuss and work through any particular issues or challenges their group was facing.<\/p>\n
Led by Professor Gavin Parker and his research team – who have extensive experience of neighbourhood planning and have published widely in the field, as well as having practical experience of neighbourhood planning. They will produce a\u00a0report which will provide\u00a0 practical advice to help groups progress their plan. This report will form the basis for us to continue engagement with and feedback to Central Government.<\/p>\n
