See & Eat 2021: Exploring How Parents Use The See & Eat ebooks

Looking for parents willing to share their experiences of using See & Eat ebooks…

Did you download one of our See & Eat ebooks? We would very much like to hear from you!

We are currently exploring how parents look at the books with their children and whether some ways of using the books are more effective than others. We are asking parents to complete a short 15 minute questionnaire, which asks questions about how you used the ebooks and whether you tried offering the vegetable in the book to your child.

If you would like to take part please click here to complete our questionnaire.

Vegetable picture books increase vegetable consumption

Our research group has shown that looking at vegetable picture books helps children to eat more vegetables, particularly those they were are not familiar with beforehand.

In 2019 and 2020, the See & Eat team created a set of vegetable ebooks. We shared these with families across Europe to find out whether ebooks are as good as picture books at helping young children to accept vegetables.

We are keen to share our ebooks and activities with families in 2021 and beyond so if you like See & Eat share our website  – www.seeandeat.org

If you work with early years children and would like to share See & Eat in your nursery or organisation do get in touch with the team.

If you have any questions about the study or our work, please contact the See & Eat Team at SeeAndEat@reading.ac.uk
