Exploring How Parents Use The See & Eat ebooks: See & Eat 2021 Project
Vegetable picture books increase vegetable consumption
Previous work by our research group has shown that looking at vegetable picture books helps change children’s behaviour toward vegetables, particularly those they are not familiar with.
The See & Eat project 2019-2020 created vegetable ebooks to share with families across Europe and investigated whether ebooks had a similar effect as picture books in changing young children’s acceptance of vegetables.
Parents wanted for new online study
The See & Eat Team are now exploring how parents look at the books with their children and whether some ways of using the books are more effective than others.
If you have downloaded a See and Eat ebook in the past we would very much like you to tell us how you got on with the book by completing our questionnaire. It will take about 15 minutes of your time. You will be asked a series of questions about how you used the ebooks and whether you tried offering the vegetable in the book to your child to eat.
If you have any questions about the study, please contact the See & Eat Team at SeeAndEat@reading.ac.uk.
If you would like to take part please click here to complete our questionnaire.
