Jo Beales

My name is Jo Beales and I have joined the Landwise team as Research Project Manager. I will be working 10.5 hours a week on this project, assisting with events, reporting and communications.  I will also be supporting the Programme Coordination Group (PCG) that will be responsible for day-to-day programme management, integration between the projects (Lancaster University – Q-NFM project, Manchester University – PROTECT project and Reading University – Landwise project) and enabling the programme to speak with one voice to external stakeholders and deliver more than the sum of the three projects on their own.

I have a BSc in Geography and I have been a project manager for 17 years.  I am looking forward to working on this project, to build on my geography degree knowledge of land-based NFM measures and to see the methods used to reduce the risk of flooding from surface runoff, rivers and groundwater in groundwater-fed lowland catchments.

If you have any useful information or documents that you feel would be of value to the research team or partners involved in this project, please contact me at – j.n.beales@reading.ac.uk

Alternatively we have a project e-mail – landwise@reading.ac.uk

To assist the communication within this research group, it would be useful to find out information on the people involved. If anyone would like to volunteer some information about themselves and the organisation they work for, which I can place on this blog, this would be of great value, to assist the connections amongst the different groups involved in this project.

I look forward to working with you over the duration of this project and keeping you all informed of the progress and results. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
