{"id":209,"date":"2021-06-14T15:12:57","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T14:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/?page_id=209"},"modified":"2021-06-15T11:38:45","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T10:38:45","slug":"participate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/participate\/","title":{"rendered":"Take Part In Our Research!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We seek individuals who fit the following criteria to participate in studies from this project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Native British English speakers (defined as born and raised in the UK or raised in the UK since the 2 years old)<\/li>\n<li>Between 16-60 years old<\/li>\n<li>Normal or corrected-to-normal hearing and vision<\/li>\n<li>Have a clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) <span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>OR<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> do not have\/suspect to have ASD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We conduct both lab-based and online studies:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-274 alignright\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px\" src=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"314\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-1536x1024.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-2048x1365.jpeg 2048w, https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/learning-emotions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/189\/2021\/06\/study-272x182.jpeg 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lab-based studies are conducted at the University of Reading. Lab-based participants will also need to complete a series <span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px\">of standardized cognitive tasks and are remunerated <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>\u00a37.50 per hour<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px\"> for their time <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>plus travel expenses<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Links to our online studies are emailed to participants.
