HYBRICON BRIDGES RESEARCH AND POLICY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

HYBRICON will improve the understanding of conflict drivers and dynamics, and thus improve the ability of different actors (locally, nationally, and internationally) to address them. It is a participatory research project and team works and collaborates with non-academic actors:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the grassroots:<\/u><\/strong> whom we will help to own their stories and make their voices heard in decision-making processes – this project will empower them as they will own local peace efforts and generate bottom-up solutions addressing their real needs through the narrative workshops The activities will make them become active decision-makers<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the local political elite<\/u><\/strong> whom we will provide with new tools to help them tackle the root causes of the conflict \u2013 they will benefit from the consultation, collaboration, deliberation and dialogue between government actors, the grassroots, and other external actors. They will engage more in participatory problem-solving leading to conflict resolution rather than adopting top-down technocratic practices. Moreover, they will benefit from the data the project generates which they can use to design evidence-driven policies that will address the root causes of the conflict,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the international and local practitioners<\/u><\/strong> to whom we will propose new approaches to enable them to understand the processes of hybridisation and their effects on local conflict trajectories in order to improve programming and policies \u2013 they will learn from the local knowledge this research produces and thus will improve conflict programming and policies by shaping evidence-based programmes.<\/span><\/p>\n
