Shovon gave a talk at the Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology<\/a> (China) on \u201cRemote-sensing-based modelling for marine ecosystems: recent developments and opportunities\u201d. It was attended by the Executive Dean of the NUIST-UoR Academy<\/a>.
\n
\nThis presentation dealt with our ongoing research on applications of satellite remote sensing and\u00a0<\/span>modelling for marine ecosystems. It included recent results on <\/span>the development of <\/span>ocean-colour algorithms, and data assimilation in biogeochemical models for estimation of biological carbon stocks and understanding of the autotrophic dynamics in the global ocean. Specific applications to marine fisheries were also presented. It opened scope for discussion on further applications of ocean remote sensing and <\/span>modelling on various aspects of ocean biogeochemistry and fisheries.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
