{"id":1468,"date":"2025-12-08T16:04:25","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T16:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/medieval-ritual-landscape\/?page_id=1468"},"modified":"2025-12-08T16:34:33","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T16:34:33","slug":"lectures-and-conferences","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/medieval-ritual-landscape\/resources-and-events\/lectures-and-conferences\/","title":{"rendered":"Lectures and Conferences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Members of the MeRit team have shared the project\u2019s research at seminars, conferences and lectures including to the British Museum, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.helsinki.fi\/en\/conferences\/waterscapes-and-landscapes\">University of Helsinki<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uk.caa-international.org\/\">CAA-UK<\/a>\u00a0(Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology), the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bda.gv.at\/themen\/veranstaltungen\/2025-06-02-bis-03-archaeo-epfrn-konferenz-mauerbach.html\">European Public Finds Recording Network<\/a>, the Institute for Historical Research, the Medieval Settlement Research Group Winter Seminar in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medieval-settlement.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/msrg-winter-seminar-2024_for-circulation.pdf\">2024<\/a>\u00a0and in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/medieval-settlement.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/programme_winter_seminar_2025.pdf\">2025<\/a>, and the Society for Medieval Archaeology.<\/p>\n<p>The MeRit project was the topic of the 2025 British Academy Albert Reckitt Lecture, delivered by Roberta Gilchrist, followed by an introduction to the PAS by Michael Lewis.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk\/events\/lectures\/medieval-lived-religion-the-complex-lives-of-medieval-ritual-objects\/\">Medieval Lived Religion: The Complex Lives of Medieval Ritual Objects | The British Academy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The team has spoken at international conferences in Austria, Denmark, Finland and Italy and organised a full-day session at the conference of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/medieval-ritual-landscape\/merit-present-at-eaa-2024-in-rome\/\">European Association of Archaeologists in 2024<\/a>.
