Please do check here again for updates.<\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Meteorology Taster: 2 Day Programme<\/strong><\/span><\/span> an exciting range of lectures, activities, discussions:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Tour of the Atmospheric Observatory with a live radiosonde weather balloon launch<\/li>\n<li>Plotting data from the radiosonde on a tephigraph<\/li>\n<li>Urban meteorology airflow exercise<\/li>\n<li>An interactive session in the Meteorology laboratories participating in some hands on science experiments<\/li>\n<li>Space weather lecture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><em>Duration: 2<\/em><\/b> day non-residential\u00a0 (9.30am &#8211; 4.30pm approx.) If you can&#8217;t attend on both days you are welcome to join us for just one &#8211; let us know\u00a0 after registration if this is your preference.<\/p>\n<p><b><em>Suitable for: <\/em><\/b>Year 12\/13 students studying sciences, physics or maths and are considering a physics\/maths related course at University. Also open for Year 13 students. New attendees and those who have been on a one day taster are both welcomed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dates:<\/em> <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">To be confirmed.<\/span><\/strong>The taster programme is non-residential, local accommodation can be arranged by yourself, but in most cases persons under the age of 18 years old are to be accompanied by an adult in the accommodation.
