We read through 3 months’ worth of Facebook posts from the Facebook Parosmia and Phantosmia Support Group and this is what we found: one new syndrome stood out. We found that many of you were experiencing distortions when, for example, you smelled onions cooking, and this sensation stayed with you for hours. This was new to us so we gave this a new name! We are now calling it olfactory perseveration.
