About me

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on hypertension. In this role, I use pharmacology, electrophysiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and cellular biology to characterise the blood pressure- lowering effects of omega 3 fatty acids. Before this I worked at the University of Liverpool, where I completed a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology, investigating the effect of mutations in a demyelinating peripheral neuropathy.

As part of my roles I have been in charge of creating and maintaining national and international collaborations, maintaining laboratory consumable stocks and purchases, managing relationships with sales representatives, and undertaking student training and mentorship.

I am the School Lead Champion for Chemsitry, Food and Pharmacy and a serving member of the Committee on Open Research and Research Integrity.
