About me

I am PhD student in climate science and an enthusiast of Open Source and free software. During my Master’s degree at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil I developed a machine learning library in R for short-range prediction of extreme rainfall. Shortly afterwards, I implemented this methodology while working in industry, where I learnt the importance of code reproducibility and version control. Since I started my PhD at Reading, one of my main goals has been to make my research outputs Open Access and reproducible.
