Xin Liu is a joint PhD student supervised by Professor Sandy Harrison of the University of Reading and Professor Xiaozhong Huang of Lanzhou University. His area of research focuses on reconstructing historical land use from literature and past land cover from pollen data. And he also plans to develop a model to explore the interactions between land use\/cover change, climate change, and human activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
