Recently two PhD researchers in the PRaES group presented posters about their research. Here, Denis Persichini shares his experience of presenting at the Diversity in Developmental Science Conference 2026<\/strong> on 23rd April 2026 at Birkbeck, University of London:<\/p>\n

I presented findings from my second PhD qualitative study, which explores how undergraduate students understand and experience the development of their perceived employability across the higher education ecosystem. The poster used Bronfenbrenner\u2019s ecological systems theory as a background framework and focused on student perspectives, highlighting the psychological, social, and structural factors shaping their confidence about future employment prospects.<\/p>\n

The conference was a really valuable opportunity to present this work in poster format for the first time, discuss the findings with delegates, and connect with other researchers working in developmental and educational research. It was also very interesting to discuss issues around inclusion with delegates, particularly after attending a final spotlight talk on inclusion in research, which highlighted both how important and how challenging it can be to achieve meaningful inclusion in practice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
