{"id":211,"date":"2018-11-29T15:24:15","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T15:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/picturingscience\/?page_id=211"},"modified":"2019-08-20T16:22:06","modified_gmt":"2019-08-20T15:22:06","slug":"211-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/picturingscience\/","title":{"rendered":"Picturing Science for Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marie Neurath\u2019s isotype books for children, produced from the 1940s to the early 1970s, were innovative in their approach to the design of complex information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Picturing Science<\/strong> is exploring Marie Neurath\u2019s approach to science communication making it relevant to teaching in primary schools today. We are working with teachers and teacher educators to ensure that their ideas and needs are taken into account.
