We would be happy to hear from you if you are interested in completing a postdoc in our lab. In the first instance, please contact an appropriate member of Staff<\/a> within the lab to discuss your ideas for a postdoc project. Funding for postdoctoral positions is mostly external, and we are happy to support applications to the relevant funding agencies. Please see below for a list of funding opportunities we are happy to support. Please note this list is not exhaustive, so if you know of another funding opportunity that you are interested in applying to, please let us know.<\/p>\n

We recommend you contact us with plenty of time if you hope to submit an application to one of these schemes, so do please email an appropriate member of Staff<\/a> at any time if you would like to discuss applying for a postdoc with us.<\/p>\n

SEDarc PostDoctoral Fellowship
\n<\/strong>As a member of the SEDarc Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), we welcome applications for the SEDarc Postdoctoral Fellowship. This is a 1-year position for those who have recently completed their PhD (within the last 12-14 months). The application involves two stages, an Expression of Interest phase (deadline March 25th, 2024), followed by a full application by invitation only, to be submitted by May 16th, 2024. For further information, please see the SEDarc webpage<\/a>. Interested applicants should contact a member of Staff<\/a> within the lab as soon as possible to discuss their ideas for the postdoc.<\/p>\n

Please note: The 2024 SEDarc competition is now closed. Check back later in the year for information on the 2025 competition. Please feel free to informally contact us at any time to discuss an application to the SEDarc Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme by contacting an appropriate member of Staff<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
\n<\/strong>The MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowship<\/a> offers funding for up to two years to complete a postdoc within Europe. Luckily we can now host MSCA postdocs, as the UK is a Horizon Europe Associated Country. This call will open in April 2025, with a deadline of September 11th, 2025. Interested applicants should contact a member of Staff<\/a> within the lab as soon as possible if they want to apply for this postdoc.<\/p>\n

British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship
\n<\/strong>We are happy to support applications to the 3-year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship competition<\/a>. This competition usually has a deadline in early October each year.\u00a0Please note that the competition for 2024 has now closed, but if you are interested in applying for the October 2025 competition, do please contact a member of Staff<\/a> to discuss your ideas.<\/p>\n

Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship
\n<\/strong>We are also happy to support applications to the 2-year Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship<\/a>. The next round of this competition is due to open in January 2025, with a deadline in February.
