We are happy to announce the first of two workshops that will be taking place on advanced statistical methods in linguistics research at the University of Reading. Our workshop on Bayesian Mixed-Effects Models<\/a> will be taking place from August 31st – September 2nd, 2022. Led by Dr Jo\u00e3o Ver\u00edssimo<\/a> (University of Lisbon), this workshop will provide an advanced, practical introduction to Bayesian mixed-effects models in R.<\/p>\n

This workshop is funded by a British Academy Talent Development Award on Implementing advanced quantitative methods in linguistics research<\/a>, awarded to Dr Christos Pliatsikas, Dr George Pontikas and Dr Ian Cunnings. A second workshop on generalised additive mixed models (GAMMs) will be taking place later in the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
