This project was funded by the Reading Community Fund in partnership with the John Sykes Foundation. From January to July 2022, we ran a book group for parents in Whitley. The group met once a month to discuss a book that they had chosen. They read six books in total and were able to keep a copy of each one. The books they chose included Room by Emma Donoghue and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Members are continuing with their book group using the Reading Libraries book groups scheme. Many of the parents also attended the storybook reading sessions too.
