[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Daisy is an Associate Professor in the Psychology of Written Language at the IoE. Her research interests lie in early reading development and she has worked on DfE-funded projects to support the teaching of phonics in Key Stage 1.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Carol is a Professor of Sociology of Education at the IoE. Carol grew up in Whitley and created the Marvellous Mums<\/a> project, a ten-week programme for Mums in Whitley which is designed to empower the participants in all areas of their life.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”408″ img_size=”300×300″ style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Before being a mum of two, Rinna taught in the preschool and primary levels for 12 years and acquired her QTS through the University of Reading. Having both Psychology and Education as her background, she jumped at the opportunity of taking a role as Research Assistant for the Whitley Wood Playgroup project to go back to what has been most familiar to her. She trained as a Primary school teacher at Reading University and taught in the area before having children.
