July 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Researchers at the University of Reading have had more funding success with awards from research councils and learned societies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ros Cornforth<\/strong> (Walker Institute) was awarded a research grant from WSP UK Ltd for a UNEP Iraq- Syria Transboundary Study on the Provision of Consultancy Services for Development of GEF, Adaptation Fund and GCF Project Documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melani Schroeter<\/strong> (School of Literature and Languages) was awarded a research grant from the Leverhulme Trust for Between Voice and Silence: Communicative Norms in Diaries 1840-1990.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miguel Teixeira<\/strong> (School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from the Leverhulme Trust for a new diagnostic for fluid flow instability and turbulence generation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacopo Torriti <\/strong>(School of Built Environment) was awarded a research grant from ESRC for Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graeme Cotterell\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy) was awarded a research grant from the Neurosciences Foundation for the evaluation of lipidated peptide antagonists of the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) for migraine management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simon Potts\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Agriculture Policy &amp; Development) was awarded a standard research grant from Horizon Europe for the Pan European Assessment, Monitoring, and Mitigation of Chemical Stressors on the Health of Wild Pollinators (WILDPOSH).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Til Kuhlbrodt\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from Horizon Europe for further climate knowledge through advanced science and technologies for analysing Earth observation and Earth system model data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Wilcox<\/strong> (School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from Horizon Europe for Clouds and climate transitioning to post-fossil aerosol regimes (CleanCloud).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Valerio Lucarini<\/strong> (School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from Horizon Europe for Climate Tipping Points: Uncertainty-aware quantification of Earth system tipping potential from observations and models and assessment of associated climatic, ecological, and socioeconomic impacts\u00a0 (ClimTIP).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Robin Smith\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from Horizon Europe for Exploring Tipping Points and Their Impacts Using Earth System\u00a0 (TipESM).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bryan Lawrence\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Mathematical Physical &amp; Computational Sciences) was awarded a research grant from Horizon Europe for Towards an Integrated Capability to Explain and Predict Regional Climate Changes (EXPECT).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ariana Darvish\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Built Environment) was awarded a research grant from the University of Warwick for Life Cycle Assessment as a Circular Economy Solution to Transport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rodrigo Perez-Vega<\/strong> (Henley Business School) was awarded a research grant from the Academy of Marketing for immersive technologies for skills and capabilities development: measuring the effect of enhanced immersive experiences and performance outcomes among Generation Z consumers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sokratis Stergiadis\u00a0<\/strong>(School of Agriculture Policy &amp; Development) was awarded a studentship funded by the University of Reading and supported by Arla Foods for consumption of milk and plant-based dairy alternatives: implications for nutrition, household expenditure and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natthapoj Vincent Trakulphadetkrai\u00a0<\/strong>(Institute of Education) was awarded a research grant from The Mercers&#8217; Company for Early Years Maths Through Storytelling: Storybook approaches to promote mathematical talk and developmaths vocabulary within the home learning environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anastasia Rattigan<\/strong> (Centre for Quality Support &amp;
