How do minoritized young people experience education, migration and health provision and how does their multilingualism sit within wider issues of race, disability and access to services?<\/p>\n<p>A round table discussion format will provide an opportunity for the audience to engage with experts in the field.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/education\/staff\/naomi-flynn\">Dr Naomi Flynn<\/a>\u00a0will talk about her research in US schools examining a language-rich pedagogy shown to improve educational outcomes of minoritized groups of learners.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/pcls\/staff\/vishnu-nair\">Dr Vishnu Nair<\/a>\u00a0will talk about racial disproportionality of minoritized children in speech and language services through the intersecting lens of race and disability.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/en\/elal\/staff\/dr-tony-capstick\">Dr Tony Capstick<\/a>\u00a0will talk about Multilingual pedagogies and social justice in language education in the Global South.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/modern-languages-and-european-studies\/Aboutus\/Stafflist\/f-faloppa.aspx\">Dr Federico Faloppa<\/a>\u00a0will talk about Multilingualism (and mother tongues) through multilingual unaccompanied minors\u2019 perspectives.
