The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and experts in the intersection of climate change and finance. We invite submissions of papers or abstracts on a wide range of topics related to climate and finance.<\/p>\n<p>Conference Details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Date: 20 September 2024<\/li>\n<li>Venue: ICMA Centre &#8211; Henley Business School, University of Reading<\/li>\n<li>Format: One-day conference with plenary sessions and a panel discussion<\/li>\n<li>Attendance: Both in-person and online participation are available. However, we require conference speakers to attend in person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Topics of Interest (but not limited to):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Climate adaptation and resilience<\/li>\n<li>Nature finance and biodiversity<\/li>\n<li>Extreme weather hazards and finance<\/li>\n<li>Transition risk and transition planning<\/li>\n<li>Scope 3 emission measurement and disclosure<\/li>\n<li>Accelerating the green economy<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable investing<\/li>\n<li>Carbon pricing and emissions trading<\/li>\n<li>Climate finance policy and regulation<\/li>\n<li>Emerging trends in climate science and climate finance<\/li>\n<li>Climate finance challenges in emerging economies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Submission Guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submission Deadline: 15 August 2024<\/li>\n<li>Please send your papers or abstracts to s.varotto@icmacentre.ac.uk with the subject line \u201cClimate and Finance Conference Submission.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 28 August 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Scientific Committee:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professor Len Shaffrey, NCAS and Meteorology Department, University of Reading<\/li>\n<li>Professor Simone Varotto, ICMA Centre \u2013 Henley Business School, University of Reading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Registration: The conference is free of charge, but registration is required.
