<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">For Autumn 2024 we are offering 48 studentships programs to choose from.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please follow link for <a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/scenario\/apply\/scenario-project-based-applications\/projects-for-2024-entry\/\">project details\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>How many projects can I apply for?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">You can apply for up to 4 projects.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Can I apply for BAME (Black Asian Ethnic Minority) scholarship with a studentship?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Yes, you can apply for both but this is eligible for Home students only.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">How do I know if I qualify\u00a0as an international student or Home student ?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Information about whether you qualify as a Home or International student can be found on the UKRI webpage\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/publications\/eu-and-international-eligibility-for-ukri-studentships-from-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU and international eligibility for UKRI studentships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Can international students apply for Scenario DTP studentship \/ scholarships?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Yes, International students can only apply for project studentship;\u00a0 \u00a0the BAME scholarship is not applicable for international students.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>How many studentship and \/ or scholarships offered?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Scenario DTP offer around 15 studentships and scholarships to successful candidates<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><b>When will the interview\u00a0take place?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Interviews will take place between 7th-14th February, 2024<\/li>\n<li>Interviews on 7th-February, 2024 will be in person at University of Reading.<\/li>\n<li>BAME interviews will take place by 21st February, 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">When will we know if we are granted the studentship and \/ or scholarship?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">The Scenario Selection Board will meet in early March and we will let you know the outcome of the interviews by 08th March, 2024. NERC Universal Acceptance Deadline is Wednesday 20 March 2024.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>What is the funding amount paid to successful students?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Our studentships comprise:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stipend \u2013 a tax-free maintenance grant, which is \u00a318,622 (full time equivalent for) 2023-24<\/li>\n<li>university fees, for both home and international students<\/li>\n<li>a Research Training and Support budget to cover costs such as conferences, workshops and equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">How long is the Scenario DTP program for ?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Project-led studentships are initially offered for 3 years.\u00a0 Scenario Scholarships for BAME Home Students are initially offered for 3 years, 3 months.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Can the time to complete PhD be extended?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">If at the start of the studentship a gap in knowledge or training is identified for the specific project, the studentship can be extended to 3.5 years at that point.\u00a0 Towards the end of the PhD, there is the opportunity to apply for an extension, based on set criteria.
