If you know when you apply that you will not be able to attend the majority of the programme due to clashes with other activities, please consider whether the programme is right for you.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #339966\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px\">Parent\/Guardian FAQs<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-96238236-can_i_apply_if_one_or_both_of_my_parentsguardians_went_to_university\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-96238236-can_i_apply_if_one_or_both_of_my_parentsguardians_went_to_university\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<div class=\"panel-group wysiwyg accordion is-all-open\" role=\"tablist\" data-group-type=\"accordion\">\n<h3 class=\"item active\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px;color: #99cc00\">Are there any costs associated with the programme?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-are_there_any_costs_associated_with_the_programme\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-are_there_any_costs_associated_with_the_programme\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>No &#8211; all our programmes are fully funded and free for participants to attend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<h3 class=\"item-header\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Are your demonstrators \/ staff trained to be working with children?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-are_your_staff_trained_to_be_working_with_children\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-are_your_staff_trained_to_be_working_with_children\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>Yes &#8211; all staff who work alongside the young people on our courses have a valid enhanced DBS check and have been vetted to ensure they are suitable to work with children.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Will my child be safe during the programme?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-will_my_child_be_safe_during_the_programme\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-will_my_child_be_safe_during_the_programme\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>The University campus and accommodation have 24\/7 security staff.<\/p>\n<p>A full health and safety briefing will be carried out at the start of the course and all of our activities are risk assessed. Activities that take place will be carried out on secure platforms and are fully risk assessed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<h3 class=\"item-header\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">What provision is there for children with additional needs?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-what_provision_is_there_for_children_with_additional_needs\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-what_provision_is_there_for_children_with_additional_needs\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>All of our programmes are inclusive and we strive to meet all of our participants&#8217; needs. If your child has any additional needs, we will work closely with the school to support your child.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">What if my child gets ill during the programme?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-what_if_my_child_gets_ill_during_the_programme\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-what_if_my_child_gets_ill_during_the_programme\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>Most of the staff working on our programmes, and all of the security team, are trained in first aid. If your child requires medical attention, we will contact you or the designated staff.<\/p>\n<p>We will ask your child to complete a medical information form to help us support your child if they become ill.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<h3 class=\"item-header\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Can I visit my child during on-campus events and summer school?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-can_i_visit_my_child_during_oncampus_events_and_summer_school\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-can_i_visit_my_child_during_oncampus_events_and_summer_school\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>To maintain the safety and security of all of the young people on our programmes, we do not usually allow external visitors during on-campus events or summer schools. In an emergency, please contact the designated school staff who will be able to help you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<h3 class=\"item-header\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Does my child need to bring a packed lunch\/snacks?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_bring_a_packed_lunchsnacks\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_bring_a_packed_lunchsnacks\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>During our workshop days, lunch and snacks will be provided for the participants. It is essential that the school would need to let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements in advance, so we can cater for this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<h3 class=\"item-header\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Does my child need to buy materials or bring anything with them?<\/span><\/h3>\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_buy_materials_or_bring_anything_with_them\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_buy_materials_or_bring_anything_with_them\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>In most cases, everything participants need to take part in our programmes will be provided for them.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">Does my child need to wear their uniform?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_wear_their_uniform\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-does_my_child_need_to_wear_their_uniform\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>No. The participants can wear their uniform if they wish, especially if they\u2019re coming to the workshop straight from school, but this is not required.<\/p>\n<p>For certain activities information will be sent to the school in advance about any requirements regarding their clothing. For instance, with our activities that take place in workshops or laboratories, all participants need to wear flat comfortable shoes with completely covered toes and long hair may need to be tied back.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #99cc00\">What are the data and photo consent forms?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item active\">\n<div id=\"panelGroup_panel-71639009-what_are_the_data_and_photo_consent_forms\" class=\"item-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"panelGroup_tab-71639009-what_are_the_data_and_photo_consent_forms\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>We will ask for your consent for photographs to be taken during the programme.
