[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Fernando Meirelles is a director, producer and screenwriter. In 2000, with Nando Olival, Meirelles co-directed the film Maids<\/em>. This was followed by City of God <\/em>(2002), which received more than 50 international awards and was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Director. His following film, The Constant Gardener<\/em> (2005), received four Academy Awards nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. In 2008, his film Blindness<\/em> opened the Cannes Film Festival. In 2011, his film 360 opened the London Film Festival. In the same period, he directed several series for TV Globo and HBO.
