Resilience Rucksack
The Resilience Rucksack Project aims to support autistic young people in developing resilience and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
Building on the original resource created at the University of Reading, our team is adapting the Resilience Rucksack to better reflect the experiences, perspectives, and strengths of autistic individuals. We recognise that resilience can look different for everyone, and we want this resource to be a genuine representation of what this means to the young autistic community.
Through a short survey, we are exploring how autistic young people define resilience, what helps them manage challenges, and the strategies they find the most effective. The insights from this survey will guide the co-production of a new, tailored Resilience Rucksack. A practical toolkit designed with autistic young people to support wellbeing, confidence, and self-understanding.
By centering autistic voices thorughout the process, this project aims to ensure the resource is inclusive and useful for the autistic communite, as well as for their families, carers, and educators.
