The Berkshire Show in Newbury comprises of many displays and spectacular shows for all the family to enjoy. The University of Reading (UoR) stand theme was \u2018SPARK YOUR SENSES\u2019. Every UoR stand highlighted different senses, such as touch, hearing, vision, smell and taste, through various activities and experiments. The Centre for Autism hosted sensory stands, spreading awareness that we all perceive the world differently, with some being more sensitive and others seeking out sensory experiences. We also asked people to take part in a sensory board activity; touching and feeling different textures and rating each texture. The show overall was a big success as the UoR stand received amazing feedback and won the prize for 2nd<\/sup> best large trade stand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
