It is a mile and half walk along the Roman walls and the North Gates and South gates into the Roman Town are well worth a visit. The amphitheatre is located just outside the Roman Town, to the north-east. Although the seating does not survive, the atmosphere does!<\/p>\n
Access for wheelchairs and prams<\/h3>\n
The footpath and droveway that leads from the public car park to the site is long and very uneven. Access for prams and strollers is possible but we do not recommend that wheelchair users attempt entry this way. Wheelchair users and those who need assistance are welcome to drive into the site from the south and park at the campsite. For more details please call the site mobile on The site itself can be extremely difficult to move around for people of all abilities. The ground slopes down steeply towards the site and hot\/wet weather can make conditions underfoot very difficult. We will be happy to use one of our vehicles to assist movement around the site for anybody that needs it.
