[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Stories on the Move is a collaboration between researchers in the University of Reading\u2019s Department of Languages & Cultures, the Centre for Book Cultures and Publishing, and Institute of Education, experts in creative translation, immersive education storytelling and games, and languages ICT education, working in partnership with Outside in World, the organisation dedicated to exploring, promoting and celebrating children’s books from around the world in translation to English. It has received funding from the University of Reading\u2019s Research Endowment Trust Fund and AHRC Impact Accelerator Account.<\/p>\n

Dr Sophie Heywood<\/strong><\/a> is project lead. She is Associate Professor in French, and a founding Co-Director of the Centre for Book Cultures and Publishing at the University of Reading. She specializes in children\u2019s books and publishing, and convenes\u00a0a webinar series on translation for children in partnership with Outside in World (recordings can be found online here)<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”265″][vc_column_text]Mrs Barbara King<\/strong><\/a> is project co-lead. She is Lecturer in Education specializing in Modern Foreign Languages.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”268″][vc_column_text]Dr Emma Page<\/strong><\/a> is post-doctoral research assistant.
