The main focus of her research is on developing Patient\/Caregiver Reported Outcome Measures and assessment tools primarily for use with children and young people in clinical trials or programmatic evaluations (eg. Alder Hey Triage Pain score, MDAT, ADNAT). She is part of a working group convened by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to develop Indicators for Infant and Young Child Development (IYCD), and Global Scales for Early Development (GSED) for population monitoring. She is currently Editor in Chief of the BMC journal Pilot and Feasibility Studies and co-author of CONSORT extension guidelines for pilot and feasibility trials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><div id=\"panel-w5fad4f4344bac-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><h1><span style=\"color: #003366\"><b>Dr Gareth McCray\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Gareth McCray<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> is a Research Associate in Statistics at Keele University. His research interests include Psychometric Measurement Construction, Item Response Theory and Rasch modelling, Diagnostic Testing, and Child Development Measurement and Global Health. He has been involved with a number of national and international studies related to psychometric measurement or diagnosis. His methodological work appears in journals such as\u00a0BMJ Global Health, Frontiers in Psychology,\u00a0BMC Medical Research Methods, Medical Education and Academic Medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-w5fad4f4344bac-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-w5fad4f4344bac-0-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_media_image
