She is an Independent Researcher and Curator specialising in Somali heritage, digital archives, Open Culture and GLAM. In recent years she has worked with the Barbican, Magnum Photos, British Museum, The National Archives, and other organisations, to deliver <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun AdvancedProofingIssueV2Themed SCXW204293408 BCX0\">a number of<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW204293408 BCX0\"> projects and workshops engaging with the Somali Community, and research the heritage sector. In 2017 she created the VR experience \u2018Coming Home\u2019 \u2013 in partnership with the British Museum and funded by Brighton Digital Festival and shown at Sussex Humanities Lab.
