In 2021, we teamed up with poet and spoken word artist dan Simpson to create a poem based on forecasting and flooding research:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtu.be\/QM9HEFDugz0[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Professor Hannah Cloke and author Maria Ferguson created a poem as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/experimentalwords.com\/\">Experimental Words<\/a>, a collaboration which paired leading scientists and incredible poets to make a <a href=\"https:\/\/experimentalwords.bandcamp.com\/\">spoken word album<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=4128375453\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/track=8815388\/transparent=true\/\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/experimentalwords.bandcamp.com\/album\/experimental-words\">Experimental Words by Hannah Cloke &amp; Maria Ferguson<\/a><\/iframe>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]To celebrate Earth Day 2023, staff from across the University <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/news\/2023\/Research-News\/Poems-for-Earth-Day\">shared their own poems<\/a> on the theme of \u2018re-imagining our world\u2019 and climate research.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Starting conversations with visual data<\/h3>\n<p>No words. No numbers. No graphs.
