{"id":271,"date":"2024-02-29T11:49:07","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T11:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/uk-food-transition-healthy-sustainable-diets\/?page_id=271"},"modified":"2025-01-16T15:23:40","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T15:23:40","slug":"work-packages","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/uk-food-transition-healthy-sustainable-diets\/work-packages\/","title":{"rendered":"Work Packages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The <a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/uk-food-transition-healthy-sustainable-diets\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/328\/2024\/03\/TUKFS-Conference-Poster-2023.pdf\">Project Poster<\/a>, initially created for the TUKFS Annual Meeting in November 2023, explains the project structure, which also details the<a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/uk-food-transition-healthy-sustainable-diets\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/328\/2024\/03\/Project-Structure-and-Work-Package.pdf\"> Work Package Flow<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives will be achieved through a set of <strong>5 Work Packages (WPs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP 1 &amp; 2<\/strong> will use economic modelling approaches to assess the changes in the consumption, production and trade of agricultural commodities and food products in the UK associated with a transition to Healthy and Sustainable Diets (HSD). We will also assess how consumer food baskets will respond to fiscal interventions in terms of their healthfulness and environmental sustainability parameters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP 3<\/strong> will examine a range of trade policy interventions and domestic regulations that can support the changes in UK trade patterns (estimated in WP2) from a legal perspective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP 4<\/strong> will undertake intensive engagement with selected agricultural commodity supply chain actors to examine the structural changes to the supply chain to support consumers, manufacturers and importers for the dietary transition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP 5<\/strong> will use a co-design and co-creation approach to suggest industry-led initiatives to that can support the transition to Healthy and Sustainable Diets (HSD) and assess the consumer response to such industry-led initiatives and supply chain innovations identified in WP 4.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A further <a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/uk-food-transition-healthy-sustainable-diets\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/328\/2025\/01\/TUKFS-Conference-Poster-2025-v3-final.pdf\">Project Poster 2025<\/a>, created for the TUKFS Annual Meeting in January 2025, shows outcomes of the research to end of 2024, in relation to Work Packages 1 and 2.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Project Poster, initially created for the TUKFS Annual Meeting in November 2023, explains the project structure, which also details the Work Package Flow.
