Following our presentations of the Women in Type research project at academic conferences in Antwerp and Birmingham last year, our team has had a number of opportunities this year to publicly discuss our progress. Back in June, Prof. Ross introduced our methodology and research objectives at the Women in Publishing conference, a symposium organised by Dr Nicola Wilson, Dr Sophie Heywood and Dr Daniela la Penna at the University of Reading.<\/p>\n

We also had the privilege to present our research to an American audience as part of the TypeCon<\/a> conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the end of the Summer. September provided us with two further opportunities to discuss the Women in Type project, firstly as part of a Women in Tech event at Palantir\u2019s<\/a> London offices, and secondly as part of the Journ\u00e9e Romande de la Typographie,<\/a> which took place in Nyon, Switzerland.<\/p>\n

It will also be a great privilege for us to present the research as part of the Annual Beatrice Warde Memorial Lecture,<\/a> to take place at St Bride Library in London on 13 November 2019.<\/p>\n
