return to paid work\u2019 <\/a><\/strong>was funded by the Nuffield Foundation and was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/economics\/our-staff\/sarah-jewell\">Professor Sarah Jewell,<\/a>\u00a0with co-investigators of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/economics\/our-staff\/samantha-rawlings\">Dr Sam Rawlings<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mardelgiu.com\/\">Professor Marina Della Giusta<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/law\/our-staff\/grace-james\">Professor Grace James<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/elal\/staff\/dr-sylvia-jaworska\">Professor Sylvia Jaworska <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drfariaftab.com\/\">Dr Fari Aftab.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sally Rickard IBCLC joined the study as a lactation expert to help develop the toolkit[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;357&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/economics\/our-staff\/professor-sarah-jewell\">Professor Sarah Jewell<\/a> was the study lead.\u00a0 <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW69810581 BCX0\">Sarah is an applied labour economist who <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW69810581 BCX0\">i<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW69810581 BCX0\">s interest<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW69810581 BCX0\">ed<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW69810581 BCX0\">\u00a0in gender equality in the labour market with a particular interest in women\u2019s health and fertility in the workplace.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;358&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.drfariaftab.com\/\">Dr Fari Aftab<\/a> was a research assistant on the study and is now a Research Associate at Cardiff University.\u00a0 Fari is an applied economist whose interest extends across sociology, psychology, and behavioural economics.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;363&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\/social-policy\/people\/visiting-staff\/dr-marina-della-giusta\">Professor Marina Della Giusta<\/a>\u00a0is based at the University of Turin and a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics.\u00a0 Her research focus on behavioural and labour economics, with a focus on gender, stigma and social norms[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;362&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/law\/our-staff\/grace-james\">Professor Grace James<\/a>\u00a0 is based in the school of law and has expertise in employment law and pregnancy discrimination in the workplace.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;361&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/elal\/staff\/dr-sylvia-jaworska\">Professor Sylvia Jaworska<\/a>\u00a0is an applied linguist with expertise in health communication, and played an instrumental role in the development of the toolkits.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;360&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/economics\/our-staff\/samantha-rawlings\">Dr Sam Rawlings<\/a> is an applied economist who focuses on the economics of the household, gender and health.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;389&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]Sally Rickard IBCLC <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">is a board-certified lactation consultant and specialises in helping businesses develop breastfeeding-friendly workplaces and supporting breastfeeding parents transitioning from parental leave. Sally, drawing on her breastfeeding expertise, helped develop the toolkits.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>The Nuffield Foundation is an independent charitable trust with a mission to advance social wellbeing.
