Juliette and David gave a joint presentation at a Thames Valley AI Hub event on the future of agri-tech. Juliette presented some work from her PhD on precision livestock technology and animal welfare, whilst David spoke about the Robot Highways project. Both spoke about the social and ethical impacts of new agricultural technology, as well as possible advantages and disadvantages. The event was well attended by nearly 100 people, with representatives from Defra, the USDA, NASA, the agri-tech centres, and several technology companies.
