The University of Reading, as part of Agri-TechE’s Agri-Tech Week 2021, organised an online workshop in November 2021 exploring the barriers to adoption of autonomous robots in the soft fruit sector. Mondira Bhattacharya organised the session inviting Robot Highways colleague Simon Pearson (University of Lincoln) to speak on a panel alongside Katrina Hayter (Innovate UK), Halvard Grimstad (Saga Robotics), and Coral Clark (British Growers Association). David Rose chaired the discussion.
Thank you to PhD student, Kirsten Ayris, for summarising the workshop. Read it here. Kirsten is doing a PhD on the responsible innovation of agricultural robotics, focusing on the engagement of publics.
