David is co-investigator on a University of Sheffield-led (Dr Ruth Little) project on the co-design of new Environmental Land Management Schemes post-Brexit. Today, a Parliamentary report by the EFRA Committee fired warning shots to Defra and provided recommendations for how to improve the design and delivery of new schemes. It cited Sheffield/Reading research extensively.
