Our aim as a network is to bring together research and thinking about the deeply personal ways landscape matters to us. One of the ways that we hope to achieve this is to have an open discussion facilitated by this website focused on the following objectives:
- To develop the potential of biographical/narrative approaches for new interdisciplinary research on landscape
- To use this focus to build bridges between empirical historical landscape research and theoretically grounded perspectives in other arts and humanities disciplines and in the natural sciences, and between landscape researchers and stakeholders
- To identify how these multidisciplinary perspectives can inform better landscape decision making
