3rd Reading Football Economics Conference AND 7th Sport Economics Sport Management Conference

On May 7-8 2024 the Department of Economics at the University of Reading will host the 3rd Reading Football Economics Conference (RFEC) and the 7th Sport Economics Sport Management (SESM) International Conference in conjunction with the International Association of Sports Economists (https://www.iase-sport.org) concurrently. This event is generously sponsored by the Sports Economics Review, published by Elsevier, and the keynote speakers for the event will be Prof Colin Camerer, of the California Institute of Technology, and Prof Paul Downward of Loughborough University.

These two concurrent events taking place at the University of Reading will allow scholars in a range of fields to present their in-progress research to a wide audience of participants. The RFEC conference, in its third year, brings together researchers who have used the setting of football (however defined) for their work in the broadly defined area of economics. The SESM conference attracts researchers considering all sports, across the fields of economics and management, to present their work.

The schedule is now finalised for the conference in Reading. Please find it here.

Please register for the conference here by April 30. There is a small fee of £25.95 for the conference dinner at Bill’s Restaurant in central Reading.
