On Monday 20th May 2019, Dr. Billy Wong (Lecturer in Widening Participation) was an invited roundtable discussant in the third meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Diversity and Inclusion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) at the Palace of Westminster, chaired by Julia King, Baroness Brown of Cambridge, the Chair of STEM Learning.

Dr. Wong and other experts from academia, charities, government and think tanks explored the issue of equity in STEM education. The aim of the inquiry is to understand the evidence and lived experience of those going through and administrating STEM education, to ascertain how and what policy changes could resolve existing challenges and barriers.
