EINSTEIN has been invited to present at the Biometrics Institute ID@Borders and Future of Travel Conference  which is taking place in Heksinki between 18-19 April.

The ID@Borders Conference is the annual gathering for the Biometrics Institute Borders User Group (BUG), European institutions and our biometrics community. It is an excellent opportunity for border experts to meet in an independent environment to discuss border developments.

Key themes include:

  • EES, eIDAS, ETIAS and other regulations
  • Digital Travel Credentials (DTC) for seamless travel – pilots, implementations and future needs
  • Interoperability at the border – needs and solutions
  • Privacy and data sharing – opportunities and challenges
  • Securing biometrics from attacks – testing, standards and solutions
  • Migration and movement of people – how can biometrics help

Prof. James Ferryman (CERTH, Greece) and Dr. Georgios Stavropoulos (University of Reading, UK) will present the project on behalf of the EINSTEIN consortium.
