Ethical, legal and societal (ELS) considerations will be an integral part of the EINSTEIN project to ensure a responsible research and innovation (RRI) approach.
These considerations will be addressed throughout the EINSTEIN project in three ways:
- ELS analysis of project research activities involving data (personal and otherwise) and human participants, such as in the training, testing and demonstrating of technologies and during meetings, interviews, workshops for stakeholder engagement and feedback;
- ELS analysis of the operational impacts from the EINSTEIN technology itself, including prospective impacts on societal wellbeing; and
- ELS foresight analysis regarding the deployment post-project of the technology, including legislative developments and the potential for misuse.
