There was a packed agenda at the week-long, virtual Development Studies Association (DSA) Conference 2021, hosted by the University of East Anglia. Jo Davies attended panels under the ‘Rethinking Development’ and ‘Global Methodologies’ streams. Particular highlights were a fascinating talk from Yunjeong Yang entitled ‘Dilemmas between empowering and managing ‘the local’: Intra-organizational power relations within Korean NGOs in Cambodia’ and from Indrajit Roy on rethinking the politics of Global Development. Jo is now interviewing a selection of attendees from the conference who are sharing valuable insights for her current project on Knowledge Hierarchies in Development.
