Ishawu Iddrisu

Ishawu Iddrisu holds the prestigious commonwealth scholarship award and he is doing his Ph.D in the food microbial sciences unit of the department of Food and Nutritional Sciences, University of Reading. Ishawu’s research is focussed on the gut microbiota and malnutrition in children, in developing countries. He is currently in the process of conducting an intervention trial in Ghana aimed at looking at the nutritional and gut microbiota of malnourished children and how these reacts to RUTF treatment. Ishawu has an appreciable experience in human intervention studies in Ghana and has several years of experience in managing children with malnutrition in rural Ghana.
