We focus on both teaching and research in Latin American studies, seeking to develop relationships internally as well as externally in the UK, the Americas, and wherever there is a relevant dedicated institute or network that can help us enhance R-LAC. We are a member of the Standing Conference of Latin American Studies in the UK (https://www.slas.org.uk/standing-conference).
R-LAC has an open-door policy in terms of inviting others from campus to contribute and participate in the network. If you are interested in joining, please email r-lac@reading.ac.uk.
We launched our network in 2021.
Since then, we have held open research seminars on a range of topics, a NERC-funded series of discipline hopping workshops in spring 2022, a training event for doctoral researchers and a networking event for all members in January 2023.
