Jaideep Joshi is a researcher based at the University of Bern, Switzerland. As an undergraduate, Jaideep studied Electrical Engineering, but thereafter pursued a research path in Ecology. Jaideep studied for a PhD in “Spatial and coevolutionary dynamics of cooperation” at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, before joining IIASA, Austria, as a Marie-Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellow.
Jaideep’s research interests are in evolutionary theory, vegetation modelling, and climate change and his current work focuses on developing eco-evolutionary vegetation models to understand the role of biodiversity and adaptation in forest responses to climate change.
Jaideep is also a visiting researcher at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria and the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology Graduate University, Japan.
