Jaideep Joshi is a researcher based at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. He collaborates closely with Prof Beni Stocker at the University of Bern, Switzerland. As an undergraduate, Jaideep studied Electrical Engineering, but thereafter pursued a research path in Ecology. Jaideep studied for a PhD in “Spatial and coevolutionary dynamics of cooperation” at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, before joining IIASA, Austria, as a Marie-Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellow.
Jaideep’s research interests are in evolutionary theory, vegetation modelling, and climate change and his current work focuses on developing eco-evolutionary vegetation models to understand the role of biodiversity and adaptation in forest responses to climate change.
Jaideep is also a visiting researcher at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria and the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology Graduate University, Japan.
