Jierong Zhao is a PhD student at Imperial College London, supervised by Prof. Colin Prentice. Her research explores how the global terrestrial biosphere responds to extreme climate conditions using a first-principles approach. She integrates field, satellite, and paleo-climate data with ecosystem modelling to study vegetation change and will also work on linking these models with socio-economic systems to support climate-related decision-making.
