Postdoctoral Research Associate in Heliospheric Physics

Dr Stephanie Yardley

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Heliospheric Physics. My current interests are focused on the origins of solar energetic particles and the slow solar wind, along with space weather forecasting. Previous interests also include the formation and evolution of solar eruptions known as coronal mass ejections, which can drive shocks that accelerate energetic particles.  At Reading I will continue to work on determining the sources of the slow solar wind and the open flux problem. Alongside my research I also engage in a broad range of outreach and public engagement activities.

Outside of work I take long walks with my dog named Elsie, swim, play piano and enjoy latin dancing.
