Dr. Andrew K. Mirza
Research Scientist (NCAS)
Responsibilities
Research Scientist in the High-Resolution Climate Modelling (HRCM) research group (https://hrcm.ceda.ac.uk/), a long-standing collaboration between NCAS-Climate at the University of Reading and the Met Office Hadley Centre. My principal role is research software engineering, helping to develop and manage large-scale ocean and atmospheric simulations on various high-performance computing platforms, e.g., Jasmin (https://jasmin.ac.uk) and ARCHER2 (https://www.archer2.ac.uk/). My secondary role is data analysis ranging from metrics for model performance to the statistical analysis of the climate model results.
