  • National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) : This Strategic project is developing and evaluating Marine Reanalysis products and developing Assimilation algorithms for Global energy and water cycle data
  • Reanalysis of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (RAMOC) : This NERC project sought new ways of assimilating AMOC measurements from the RAPID Array into Met Office forecast models. See Thomas et al papers.
  • APPOSITE and APPLICATE projects : New Sea Ice and Shipping projections for the Arctic were developed based on IPCC model output calibrated with observations: See Melia et al papers
  • ERror Growth in Operational Data Initialised Coupled Systems (ERGODICS) : This NERC project looked at improving initialisation methods in coupled climate models: See Mulholland et al papers
  • ECMWF Reanalysis for Climate (ERACLIM2) : This FP7 ECMWF project produced a new coupled reanalysis for 20th century, CERA20C, using coupled data assimilation methods: See Buizza et al and Feng et al papers
